About Dr Ye Chen

Dr Ye Chen is an ophthalmologist with sub-speciality interest in eyelid, lacrimal and orbital surgery (oculoplastics).
Graduating a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Melbourne University Dr Ye Chen went on to complete an internship at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne. He was awarded the Rhodes Scholarship at the University of Oxford, England, where he obtained a DPhil in Medical Science.
Dr Ye Chen continued his training in ophthalmology at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, and furthered his sub-specialty fellowship in Adelaide, where he gained considerable experience in the treatment of eyelid, lacrimal, eye socket and orbital disorders.
Dr Chen speaks fluent English, Mandarin (普通话) and Shanghainese (上海话).
